Foam rolling is a type of self-massage that breaks up adhesions in the myofascial tissues, builds muscle awareness, eases muscle tension, and increases flexibility.
In this workshop, participants will:
Learn safe and effective foam rollings techniques to melt away tension.
Learn how to use the foam roller for deeper stretches.
Gain a better understanding of the anatomy and function of the muscles.
Gain insights into the possible causes of pain (repetitive movements, muscular imbalances, poor posture, previous injuries, etc).
Benefits of self-myofascial include:
Relaxes the nervous system
Decreases muscle tension
Increases flexibility and range of motion
Enhances respiratory function
Improves muscle function
Reduces muscle soreness
Participants will need a 36in foam roller of a density of their choice.

This donation-based class addresses the physical dis-ease that resides in the body as a result of living a life in addiction. We have a 12-step style meeting and a beginner friendly Yoga practice which includes meditation and breathwork.
