CHAKRA PSYCHOLOGY: ADDICTION & HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Sunday, Feb 28, 2021 | 10am-12pm PT
Online via zoom
*FREE*
When we experience a traumatic event, the body logs it in the nervous system which creates a physical memory. It does this on our behalf to protect us and keep us prepared in case danger ensues again. Even when we don’t consciously remember what happened, the body carries the physical memories. This is called “implicit” or “body memory.”
The chakra system is an excellent roadmap for navigating the body to understand where held patterns of tension and trauma exist. Likewise, we can also explore where beneficial body memories might live and aim to increase their influence.
In this workshop we’ll:
~Do a guided chakra meditation
~Explore the Chakra system as it relates to addiction and human development
~Discuss how each chakra expresses itself when over or under-active
~Learn how Yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation can support your individual chakra systems
Includes 2CE credits with Yoga Alliance
